Polk’s House

Was supposed to open at 6pm, but opened late. I had to stand outside in the freezing cold.

Finally, I called, someone answered and hung up. I called right back, someone answered the phone and greeted me politely. I told them I was cold from standing outside. Instead of saying one moment please, they just hung up the phone and came to the door and let me in???????

They opened up all those dusty blinds right in front of the food. If didn’t enjoy their food so much, I would have went elsewhere.

After opening late, only half the food was prepared/ready.

I was charged $42

I had a steak plate and a hot honey wing plate. The wings were pricey, but good. The steak was good too.

Best green beans and Mac n cheese in the state. Fish was fried perfectly. Wings were just the right sweet and spicy. Going back for the brisket.

Classic smoked meats and authentic Soul food. If you ever go to bobo’s, this one is right up the street and has great food. It’s a great 1 main 2 sides spot. It’s going to run you about 20a person with dessert and tip.

Great great taste. Wonderful people they always nice. They always have different selection of meats and sides everyday. Different selection of cake’s and pie. They also have very very good Kool-Aid.
