Thai Star NC Restaurant

My husband serprised me over the weekend and we drove 3 hrs to Raleigh for a comedy show, but a huge goal was to have authentic Thai. We lived in Thailand for 12 years and have missed genuine Thai so much. It was great talking to P. Joy in Thai and the food was the best we’ve had state side! Khao Soi and som tom were both so delicious! We actually ate lunch yesterday at another Thai place, but it had nothing on Thai Star.

First time trying this place and it was great! Very inconspicuous from the outside but as soon as you step foot inside, it’s a pleasant surprise. Good vibes and relaxing ambiance. The staff was also very friendly and the food hot and delicious. I got the drunken noodles with vegetables and Thai tea. With a 3 spice level out of 5 it was plenty spicy.
There’s plenty of tables plus a bar with beer and wine. This is one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve tried and I’ll definitely be returning.

The portion was good, and although it did take some time to have our meals ready, it’s worth waiting. Also an indication of good online sales or orders by phone calls.
I ordered fried rice, which was well seasoned, not too salty nor sweet, the type of flavor for sure accepted from the point of view of an Asian.
A good nostalgia when you are away from home! A must try!!

Great restaurant! Friendly staff! Awesome food. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Thai food in the triangle area. I eat here at least twice a month. The prices are very affordable ❤️❤️❤️

We will definitely return! Charming interior and really amazing specialty foods on the back page. The lamb chops are beautiful and perfectly done. The Thai standards like Pad Thai are solid.
