Rustic Kitchen

Good place for a steak or seafood in the area. Groups of 5 or more should plan to wait a little if they want to sit together. Shrimp was good, steak was cooked perfect, and waitresses were busy but attentive.

As we live in Starkville, we have heard how good this place was, so while we were in the area we decided to give it a try. Fish wasn’t cooked well enough. Had no flavor. Fried shrimp had a strange flavor. Fries were frozen crinkle cut and like the fish needed to be cooked longer. Sad when you visit a “so called” seafood buffet and the only thing good to one person in our party was the hush puppies and another person said the only good thing was the turnip greens and sweet potatoes!! ? ?

First time customer.. we didn’t eat the buffet, we ordered off the menu. Hamburger steak was delicious, best I’ve had in years! Husband said steak was flavorful & juicy! He loved it. However we were a tad disappointed that the onion rings & FF were the frozen store bought kind rather than homemade. Salad bar was tasty. Very busy little place. Worth the trip ??
